FS#753 — FS#4792 — route reflector rf-1/2/3-a1

We have a weird bug between ASR 1000 and ASR 9000:
http://status.ovh.net/?do=details&id=752

We are going to update ASR 1000 rf-1-a1 to see if it
fixes the problem. There are no consequences for the routage.
The 2 other rf will transfer the BGP announcements.

The update of IOS on rf-1-a1 does not fix the problem with ASR.

Comment by OVH - Friday, 05 November 2010, 15:37PM

We are going to update it this night b
because this will probably
crash at the same time ams-1 and fra-5.

Comment by OVH - Tuesday, 09 November 2010, 11:55AM

We will update the rf-2-a1

Comment by OVH - Tuesday, 09 November 2010, 11:56AM

It did not take the good image. Apparently, we need to delete
everything from bootflash: it does not take into account the
boot parameters.

We will change a bit the rf strategy: the 1st one as it is the most favourite
of all the routers will be specialised in the OVH advertisements and only
ovh. The ip failover and the IP RIPE represent
more than 100'000 routes in our network.

Comment by OVH - Tuesday, 09 November 2010, 12:03PM

The 2nd rf will be specialised in all the external routes
to our network

Finally, the 3rd one will have both and will be the failover
of the former ones.

Comment by OVH - Tuesday, 09 November 2010, 12:04PM

We will reload rf-3-a1 and we will see if everything goes well on
the former 2 rf

Comment by OVH - Tuesday, 09 November 2010, 12:06PM

It is OK. Everything is fine. The rf-3-a1 will be back in 3 minutes
then will re-put its BGP sessions as well.

Comment by OVH - Friday, 12 November 2010, 11:26AM

The 3 RF are updated.
