FS#634 — FS#4681 — Replacement of the battery circuit breaker boxes

Attached to Project— Datacenters
Modernization
Roubaix 3
CLOSED
100%
In the past, we have experienced UPS failures due to defective circuit breakers.
Following these defects, we verified the manner in which protections were
made and take necessary steps to rectify them.

We will replace the battery circuit breaker boxes with other boxes
containing several circuit breakers per battery branch. This manipulation will be
performed on several UPS in the data center of RBX 2 and RBX 3.

Each UPS will be bypassed during the manipulation.
Work will begin Monday, 11th of October around 8am.

Date:  Friday, 26 November 2010, 22:13PM

The maintenance tasks has begun on UPS 1 RBX 3.

Comment by OVH - Monday, 11 October 2010, 17:50PM

UPS 1 RBX3 is completed, the replacement has now taken place on UPS 3 RBX 2.

Comment by OVH - Monday, 11 October 2010, 20:08PM

UPS 3 RBX 2 have been modified.

The case of a minor piece of the UPS (which has been replaced quickly
thanks to the spare pieces) made us postpone the date of intervention
on the other 3 UPSs before undergoing this modification. A precaution.

The work will resume normally on next Monday.

Comment by OVH - Wednesday, 20 October 2010, 21:11PM

We will resume work tomorrow morning with UPS 4 in RBX 2.

Comment by OVH - Wednesday, 24 November 2010, 11:45AM

The replacement of the battery circuit breaker box will be done today this morning on UPS 7 RBX 2.

It is the UPS which caused the problem yesterday in room 26.
We will proceed then to the in-depth search for the default on the batteries
and/or the UPS in order to understand the real reason of the cut which took place yesterday.
