FS#9658 — pCC routing
Scheduled Maintenance Report for Hosted Private Cloud
Completed
In follow-up to http://status.ovh.co.uk/?do=details&id=5713, we are now able to bring the RIPE IP routing directly back to the Nexus 7000, and to set up the GLBP protocol to enable better distribution of the load between the routers.

For this update, a few seconds downtime is expected while moving from HSRP protocol to GLBP protocol.

We will be gradually be migrating the VLANs onto the Nexus 7000 at night, from the night of Mon Nov 11th/Weds Nov 12th to the night of Weds Nov 13th/ Thurs Nov 14th.

In order to have stable configurations for the switchover, we will have to stop blocking the IP management robots from Monday.

The line card reboot was not sufficient to make the change effective on the line card TCAMSs.That will require a total reboot of the chassis, which we want to avoid if possible. We will work the Cisco engineers tomorrow, who will be on site in Roubaix trying to find a soft solution to this problem. If this is not possible, we will plan new maintenance works overnight to reload the chassis.

Date: 2013-11-08 09:31:47 UTC
The switchover has been carrie dout in 2 directions. The card that was initiall in active is now active again. We now have to reboot the 3 line cards (M2 cards) to make the change effective there too.

Date: 2013-11-08 09:29:23 UTC
In order to prepare the device for the new routing configuration, we have to carry out a switchover (of the active supervisor to the standby one). We will do this in a few minutes.
